To the best of my knowledge, the Zenwalk project is for PC, not tablet - and does not support (out of the box) any features for tablet usage. You would have to see what other distros are doing - then try to adapt packages to suit Zenwalk - and probably manually configure everything to your likings. ...

Hi darkjorg I am also waiting for Zenwalk in a 64 bit version. I hope that people have the energy to put it together, eventually. The general consensus is that 64 bit does not increase speed, but rather it is a matter of addressing large data. To me, 64 bit is the hardware architecture used today, s...

How does a fledgling packager contribute packages or build scripts? Email? Git? IRC? Hi Josiah. I hope someone answered your request the last 14 days (maybe by private mail?). If not, I recommend that you contact bipbip (Fred) through this forum. He is a key person in running Zenwalk and I know he ...

Unlike 7.2RC2 and 7.2RC3 which I tested, this ISO does not boot on older, non-PAE, hardware (E.g. Pentium M). There does not seem to be an alternate boot kernel on the CD. If this is an oversight, what's the best way to fix it? If this is deliberate, me and my old Travelmate are feeling very :'( So...

Hi Anand I hope JP (Hyperion) will answer your question. My impression is that new Release Candidates keep being presented and now that Slackware 14.0 has been finalized, maybe soon we will see a Zenwalk release. One release candidate was announced on Distrowatch. There's some visible activity here:...

Hi Anand

Scilab 5.4.0 has been released - I've installed it with success on my Windows 7 64 bit machine and it seems to run more stable than the betas.

I hope you will compile the Linux version for Zenwalk.

Three weeks has gone ... did RC5 make it, or do we need a RC6?
Please let me know if we're moving on the next Zenwalk release.

I think you could be right.

P.S. Be aware that a new version of Scilab - v.5.4.0 - is close to release. When available I hope this new version is made available.

It's been a month since RC3 and I was wondering: 1. Has critical issues been solved? 2. It seems to me (from snapshot) that several new packages have been added. Would it make sense to release a RC4 now - or is there something that shold be done before releasing the next RC? Thanks for some info. /C...

Hi ext2

I think the answer is in this thread (earlier solution is stil valid). Just send the package private-mail to JP (hyperion).
