I have a trouble. When I try to install myself maked package, pkgtool install it, but didn't create package.pc file in usr/lib/pkgconfig directory.

I do:
  • ./configure
  • make
  • checkinstall -S

for make "package.tgz"

It is pkgtool bug, or I don't know anything?

Another question: how i must configure parameters to locate my package in /opt directory

./configure --prefix=/opt will use /opt instead of /usr ;)

run './configure' again, this time with '--prefix=/', then run 'make uninstall'
if gstreamer makefile has an uninstall target yuo should be fine - otherwise run 'make install' again and check the list of files copied, and remove them manually

hope this helps

Maybe I must set the PKG_CONFIG_PATH or something other to make configuration corectly?

Please help me install gstreamer-0.10.5  :-[

configure can't find path of installed packages. Where I can read how make package with step by step instruction?

Or, maybe, someone write me how he(she) create slackware package for use with pkgtool.

Gstreamer 0.10 is to be included in our official Gnome build. You can find it here:

Ok. And now I can find correct package of interesting for me programm in download.zenwalk.org/people/... ?

If I can't find needed program, I can try it in linuxpackages.net. But, are downloaded from another repository TGZ packages appropriate for zenwalk?
