Hi,

Like to say I'm very impressed w/ZW. I'm using: zenwalk-5.4BETA1.iso. I have a wireless problem: My adapter is on my notebook: Intel 4965AGN. Works fine in XP and Xubuntu 8.10 But in ZW I can not get any wireless action. The wireless LED will not light up. The wireless will not turn on. I suspect that ZW is not "seeing" the wireless hardware. Is there a fix?

Thanks,
L

your wireless is there, detected and working. i suppose.

now go to Network Manager under System

which encryption method are you using? WEP or WPA?

The network manager says" No wireless networks found". Of course I opened that first when i saw wireless was not working.

I tried it on a wireless with WEP and it couldn't find that or any wrireless networks - even though there are many in the area.

I will google all the info now - should of done that first...What is this?!

http://packages.zenwalk.org/?p=iwlwifi- ... n=snapshot

Will this help? What will it do? Please explain this package to me - Thanks.

the next thing is perhaps you need a firmware installed in your box. this is also a possibility, i helped setting up a wifi for my friend the other day, and he needed to install a firmware for his network card.

yes... i am also searching. because this should really work out of the box, and i don't see why in your case it is not working.
