Problems with video mode

Hi, I installed 6.0 version on my Packard Bell laptop and all went ok but I have this problem.
Turning ON the machine I get this message:

"BIOS DATA CHECK SUCESSFUL
Undefined video mode number: 31a
Press ENTER to scan video modes available, SPACE to continue or wait 30 sec"

I have always to do the same thing and it started to run, but not in the graphical mode, it run in the verbose mode

How can I solve this thing??

Change the vga=... line in your /etc/lilo.conf to one that your PC supports. Don't forget to run lilo -v after the changes.
