Hello all,

I recently put together a system using the asus m4n68t-m v2 board, i'm currently running zenwalk gnome 6.0.1(and i will be upgrading asap), i'm using a wireless usb keyboard and mouse, and whenever i start up zenwalk i find that i have to unplug and then plug back in again the wireless receiver to get the keyboard and mouse to work, anyone know why that is?

Well at boot the system seem to not recognize or load the kernel module related to that devices your having problem.

But i think we need to analyze the dmesg before and after (re)pluggining those devices. Then we can derive to some conclusions.
Also the modules which are loaded by default to the kernel space before replugging the device and after.

Thank you so much for your reply and suggestions, i will do what you have recommended, and see what turns up. Although I must admit seeing whats happening before replugging the device is going be a bit of a challenge considering that the keyboard and mouse only works after replugging. And by the way I have tried out 3 other distros on this system, and zenwalk is the only one with this problem.

In dmesg its saying that is it unable to enumerate device, and I also see a message that goes something like this "unable to register device on port 3"

Ok so after further examing dmesg, i found that upon initial boot-up the usb drivers (specifically ohci_hcd) are recognizing the keyboard/mouse as a high speed/full speed device, but when i unplug and re-plug the reciever the drivers recognize the keyboard/mouse as a low speed device, and thats when the keyboard/mouse works. Can anyone shed some light as to why drivers are seeing the keyboard/mouse as high speed/full speed device initially, as opposed to a low speed one.
