I'm having some issues with Z7 & VB. I managed to get the guest additions installed and have screen scaling and shared clipboard etc. The mouse integration however is not working very well. I had to add this to the xorg.conf file to get the mouse to click where it was pointing to...
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "vboxmouse"
Driver "vboxmouse"
Option "CorePointer"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
EndSection

however, when I scroll the mouse over menus they don't highlight the position, when I click on a window to move it, I can drag the mouse to a different position but the window doesn't actually move or indicate it's moving until I release the mouse. Also the mouse doesn't seem to change status till I actually click on something. It's just stuck on whatever I did last.

any thoughts?
I never installed the kernelsource because the headers were installed and VB didn't ask for them.

hmmm, I installed the kernelsource and tried reinstalling the VB guest additions but I had a message saying the xorg.conf file was originally created by VB and won't be modified. I'm still having the same issues

I will try reinstalling it from scratch and installing the kernelsource pkg first. I've created something like 50+ guests of various distros and haven't run into this before. I'm not sure what vboxgtk is btw.

well, as it turns out I have all the guest additions working except for the mouse intergration. however if I disable the mouse intergration in virtualbox the mouse works fine in zenwalk. I guess I will have to figure out how to fix that unless someone already knows? H!!!

You can maybe try to remove the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.
