Continuing to experience problems with libboost; "error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.41.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". Wesnoth as well as qBittorrent need this to launch. This must be some carry over from the last version. I've checked for permissions and attempted bip"s fix from another thread with no success. Would someone have some fresh input on this issue? :(

On my system boost version is 1.45.0, so those packages probably need to be rebuilt. You can try making a symbolic link but a rebuild would be better.

Your suggestion to rebuild the packages that link to libboost makes sense, but i think there is also another problem lurking here: I've not invetigated 'in full', but is suspect that there is something in libboost that tricks programs that make use of libboost to link to the wrong shared library. For instance: in /usr/lib, there are two library entries for:

Code:
/usr/lib/libboost_date_time.so@
/usr/lib/libboost_date_time.so.1.45.0*

With every single 'minor' upgrade of libboost, the 1.45.0 entry is changed, but the symlink (the one with the '@') is still there and unchanged. I do not know how to change that ......
