Hi, just seen this thread. I'm running Zenwalk 7.0 Standard right now and I'm having the same problem; Flash works just fine on a few pages and then crashes and won't resurrect (at least not without a restart or reboot).

Having said that, I've tried other distros (especially Debian-based ones) where I've been unable to get Flash working at all, so Zenwalk is more successful in this respect than some of the others out there.

And about the crashprotector, I googled that one ;D , it was first introduced in Firefox 3.6, so it should be in your Icecat..

1:0 for you, thanks, I will try to configure that, next time I'm at this machine.

I must recall this statement :(

Icecat and Firefox are basically the same, and they both have a built-in crashprotector which prevents the browser from crashing when something goes wrong with a plugin. I think on the older versions it is disabled by default, not sure about that, that's why you have a crash with flash on Icecat and Firefox just shows a black box as described at bugbase.
You can have a look in about:config, search for dom.ipc and put dom.ipc.plugins.enabled to true

I'd added, because not already existed, and set dom.ipc.plugins.enabled=true and again updated to Shockwave flash plugin 11.2 r202. So crashprotector then should prevent Icecat 3.6 from crashing, when the Flash-plugin crashes. ... But Icecat again crashed completely, when opening a Youtube site. So crashprotector doesn't exist in Icecat 3.6 or at least doesn't work :(
