Hi,

Changelog : http://www.zenwalk.org/modules/news/art ... ?storyid=2

I hope that this new YAOCFIP interface will make you forget any other package manager :)

(YAOCFIP == "you are one click from installing packages" )

Cheers

JP

I downloaded it with slapt-get --no-md5 :P

New gui is really good, much better than previous one. I think it still need some improvments but it's a great step forward

Thank You

With today's download which seemed to fix all the recent problems that prevented me from using xnetpkg I can say it is great improvment over the pevious version and for me who prefers GUIs I would happily remove gslapt but maybe only once descriptions are added to the new version ;)

I know this is work in progress so I'm happy to wait  :)

No you can't.

It would be easy to implement, it's just that I don't want to make this possible : it's dangerous to have packages overlaps : average users could break their system...

But switching from one mirror to another is really easy now

Is it possible to add a local directory for downloaded files or is this going to be best done via cli or the new right click option in thunar?

Ok

2 little questions:

Will netpkg have something similar to slapt-get --clean for automatic removal of cached packages? (or maybe it already has it?)

Now when netpkg can handle removal of local packages we don't need Pkgtool in system menu so I suppose it will be removed in Zen 3.2?

The new netpkg did not work for me.  I could not get the GUI.

I didn't think about this option, the answer is YES.

Added to my roadmap

Thanks for the idea

Yes
