Whoa, great. I've always liked CLI Netpkg but disliked graphic Netpkg. I have to say that the new GUI is way ahead the earlier Netpkg versions. Good job. :)

One thing I'd like to be fixed, though. When entering a search term, pressing Enter doesn't refresh the list. I like to use my keyboard, so having to reach to my mouse and clicking the Refresh button feels a bit inconvenient. Would it be possible to make Enter do the trick, please?

Is there a howto for using the new netpkg gui? It doesn't appear to display anything in the search field.

I type gnome or mplayer and enter, but do not see anything returned. When I go to the remove package area, I see stuff, but I do not see  or know how to use the new netpkg gui to search for packages.

I used to prefer gslapt, but this distro is my first at prefering the CLI.

However, I need some help with the new netpkg gui?

How do I search for vlc for example,. etc.. Is there a readme somewhere?

You must choose a mirror first

Go in the "Network" menu, then choose a mirror

The new netpkg is already explained in the Zenwalk Manual Chapter 3.4.

If you want something that you think is wrong to be fixed, then you need to provide more details I think ;)

JP, I figured this out, but didn't find it logical ... instead I followed my intuition saying I need to do some file stuff first (first menu on the left) ... whether it was called network, or something else. Why is it called network and not eg. "mirrorlist" or something equally intuitive?

Best regards,
Claus

Well... when I type something in the search box I have to press the refers to have effect.

I don’t remember what happens exactly. The first time when I used the new netpkg interface i upgraded and installed some programs. Then from CLI i issued netpkg upgrade all and the (previous installed - upgraded programs) reinstalled with some new packages (dependencies) too. I have to reproduce the issue in order to be absolutely sure before I post in the problem area
