I am using ZenLive 6.0 daily since more than 2 years on this computer (I am not allowed to install Linux on it) with great satisfaction.

However, ZenLive 6.0 doesn't work on my NEW computer: Xfce doesn't not load, and I stay with a grey screen.
Can you help ?
(ZenLive 7.0 is not an option: too many bugs).

NEW computer: CPU: Intel Core i5 760 2.80 Ghz, 6 Gb RAM, Graphic: ATI Radeon HD 4670

old computer: P4 2.80 Ghz, 1 Gb RAM, Graphic: Intel 82915g/GV/919 GL Express Chipset Family

If you are unable to track down the problems why X doesn't start on your PC how dare can you call ZenLive 7.0 to be buggy!? I would say if you lack the experience be VERY careful with calling someones elses work to be buggy, dude!

Give a more detailed description about what you have tried, what did not work and which error messages you get, (and post the log output if any) otherwise we won't be able to help you.

I just have a guess, your new pc is equipped with a intel integarted grafic card and you need to adjust the kms settings, or the hardware is simply to new to be supported by ZenLive 6.0, therefore try 7.0 or 6.4 if you don't like 7.0 it should work! And by the way what kind of things do you consider to be "bugs" in ZL 7.0?
