Hi,

My zenwalk is not booting after installing new kernel from snapshot (3.4.3), hangs-up at below:


I'm using Zenwalk Gnome 7.0 upgraded to latest snapshot, but with previous kernel version (3.3.6) there's was no such problem.

Does anyone can tell what's the probable cause of this ? Thank you in advance.

Maybe this is a red herring, but did you run

as root after the upgrade?

After the kernel upgrade I've just uninstalled lilo by:

and then edit lilo config to add new kernel and installed lilo again

Try whit zenwalk.iso cd
At the boot prompt write
ata root=/dev/sdax rdinit= ro zenwalk 3
If it works log as root and try to run liloconfig again

or use a live cd that works as root to read your config
check also if you have in /boot the new vmlinuz-3.4.3
