zendo: error while loading shared libraries: libnotify.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or director

Same from my end; perhaps an update to the libnotify package is all that's needed.

I don't know about zendo's future.

ln -s libnotify.so.1 libnotify.so.4.00

As I'm not sure
I did this
log as root
go to /usr/lib
copy and paste to another folder libnotify.so.4 (do not cut or move)
rename to libnotify.so.1
and move again to /usr/lib
zendo works again

just rebuild zendo.

Unfortunately re-installing zendo -- assuming this is what you've suggested -- doesn't work.
