Dear Zen-friends,

After upgrading to the latest wicd package on ZW7.0 snapshot I started developing network connection problems at start-up: basically, after logging in I'm asked for credentials (which I've never defined in the first place) by Keyring; failing that leads to a Wicd daemon shut-down.

As such, to connect to the Internet I need to restart the wicd service and then fire up the Wicd client. Removing and re-installing Wicd doesn't lead to any progress. Anybody sharing the same experience / having a clue as to what's going on?!? With the usual load of thanks!

If you did update snapshot and now you are using sysvinit-2.88-72.1
or
downgrade sysvinit
or
remove wicd and use networkmanager
or
if you want keep using wicd
go to /etc/rc.d and modify the scrits
delete networkmanager and put wicd in rc.services rc.0 rc.6 etc

wicd has been moved to extra

Many thanks for your suggestion, franco: removing Wicd after replacing it with NetworkManager worked like a charm! :-)
