Right click on the document that you want to open
Properties
open with
I supose that you have both libre and openoffice installed.
If not your question does not make me any sense.

I use gedit
so for text files I do that
all this kind of files open whit gedit
Maybe for each different kind of files that open whit office apps you will have to do that.
Please note that for reasons of space libreoffice is incomplete in the ISO so you need to download the missing parts.
And note that openoffice is not more available in any zenwalk repo

Sorry for butting in, but when you right-clicked the .doc file, did you choose:
open with - open with an other application.
In the menu that pops up choose the application you want to be the default and see that the box is ticked where it says use as default for this kind of file. That should settle it.
But I thinks Franco's advice to look for the libreoffice-extra package and what more comes up when you search xnetpkg for libreoffice, is worth a try. Can't imagine Libre Office not doing what Open Office does! ;)

Hi blackbird and franco,

I was a bit busy with my work. So, just now updated my system to snapshot. This is what I found related to file association problem.

I downloaded some files using Mozilla Firefox. I then saw the Downloads window and tried to go to the downloaded folder by using
1. Right click on that file name
2. Open Containing folder button

The result should have to be the opening of folder using Thunar.

But, instead an adobe acroread was used. So, any idea how to solve this problem.. ?

Hi Ajay,

I followed your steps ( I think), so downoaded a pdf-file, rightclicked on the file in the downloadmenu, choose ' containg folder', and yes, here Downloads was opened with Thunar. :)
So I cannot reproduce your problem..... You must have something special!
