Maybe someone on the Zenwalk dev team (avaurus?) should  set up a paypal donation account or something similiar.

I came from using Archlinux and they just had a donation drive a week or so ago  for new server hardware and collected around $6000 in 2 days. Granted, there's 5600+ forum members there, but I belive slackplanet was around 600 or so, we could probably raise a decent amount. I'd be happy to drop some cash to help get some better gear.

I also have a bunch of older parts that a dev may find useful (athlon 1000 w/mobo, older RAM, older nic cards, cdrom drives, etc.).

KDE has "adopt-a-geek and Gentoo has an "adopt-a-developer" program that links users spare hardware to devs in need of it.

But I also think mykey's Paypal suggestion is a good one.

I would love to buy a ZenWalk T-shirt, though I think the postage is quite high (T-shirt costs $15, postage costs $7 International, I live in Portugal...). I also don't mind at all to donate that amount (total $22) directly to the ZenWalk project.
I agree with setting up a PayPal option, it's easier to me,  and I believe also to a lot of us willing to donate.

Listen to reason Zenwalk people... there's no need to do too much! Your public ase asking for a Paypal (or better secured) payment method with which they can just send you their money!

I am in favour of it myself. Sadly, I don't have a credit card, so I can't participate, but if I did, I would be completely at ease to send you some cash just for what you've done already and I'm sure a lot of people would be right there with me on that because this thread exists!

Initally just make a paypal connection to your bank account! That leaves people to pay what they want without even having to worry about the price of merchandise. I mean, if everyobody just decided to send you a ? or more just to say thanks, you'd be happy!

Forgive my US-centric world view, but I go to the paypal link from the 'help us' link on the home page and it's in French. I love French wine from ecowine.com, but cannot understand anything more than oui. I have a small donation, but am helplessly american.
