Hi,

say you got a 40G hard disk, and boot partition is only 6G after installation, can it be resized? thanks,

Hi,

Yes, if you use gparted from a live-cd, or I have a gparted live-cd which I use for those occasions http://gparted.sourceforge.net/download.php/livecd.php

Hi,
You have to create some empty space next to sda1, so first reduce the size of sda3 with the empty space on the left, then move swap to the right so the empty space is next to sda1 and then you can enlarge sda1. At least, it should work that way. ;D I think I normally have about 10 GB for my root partition.

Oh, and the partitions mustn't be mounted, hence the use of a live-cd
