Hi all,
no needs to edit requiredbuilder, I am the author and I have been implementing a "recursive style" scan for dependecies for some time now. The 0.16.x series provide the option -r just for this reason, but still there are some problems left, but I hope with version 0.16.2 to fix them all.
In any case I am very open to any suggestion or contribution!
If you want to try requiredbuilder-0.16.2 beta you can download the script from here:

http://www.stabellini.net/requiredbuilder-beta

please let me know if there are still any problems!
Thank you,

Stefano Stabellini

Just to be safe, make sure that /etc/requiredbuilder.conf contains a line like this:

PACKAGES=/var/netpkg/db/PACKAGES.TXT

and that you really have /var/netpkg/db/PACKAGES.TXT on your system.

stabe,

I saw that a new requiredbuilder is available in snapshot. Is it the requiredbuilder with the new flatdep ?
I read "better check" so I suppose it is for the flatdep  :-\

One question concerning requiredbuilder.
I don't know if it is possible to have a menu with the option available for requiredbuilder.
Something like : requiredbuilder --help

Anyway thanks for this script  :)

Yes, at the moment simply execute requiredbuilder without arguments: that prints the command line options ;)

Next version I'll add -h or --help option for that purpose.

By the way, the option to generate flat deps is -r and takes terribly long unless you have set correctly the PACKAGES variable in /etc/requiredbuilder.conf to point to and existing up-to-date PACKAGES.TXT file on your system, like in my example above.
