I installed FOF via Zendo then removed it again with Zendo. I decided to reinstall the game but this time its icon didn't show up in the menu so i ran it from the /usr/bin/fretsonfire but it didn't work normally. It worked sluggish and some functions didn't appear like selecting song folder and so on. I have also removed the setting file in home directory before reinstalling. Is there any other setting file of the game i have to remove before installing? What may cause this problem? Any ideas would be welcome.

Ed: I noticed that there is a line in log file;

Code:
 Video setup failed. Trying without antialiasing.

Is this any good?

I don't know much about the inner workings of FoF, but if the error says that you should try without the aa, then try that. There should be a config file in you home directory where you can change the setting...

By that do you mean that you removed the ~/.FretsOnFire folder? That should be all the settings, but I supposed you could check the /tmp directory too, just in case.

In any case, FoF is a somewhat buggy program, and it can require a bit of fiddling to get it to run properly. Once upon a time when I used Ubuntu the version of FoF in the repo was no good, so I got a slightly older version straight from the FoF website. It doesn't require any installation, if you want to do it that way. It can run from a folder right in your home directory or anywhere like that.
