Thank you, bipbip: too kind and efficient as always!

It seems to work fine on my machine, except only in init 4: if I attempt at going to init 3, or even shut down through Applications Menu --> Log Out, I obtain a garbled hung-up screen. This is something I'd already noticed with the previous kernel + fglrx version combination but didn't pay too much attention, having already other head-aches of my own: see this and subsequent posts. On the other hand, on vesa I can go to init 3 and shut down just fine... $:-\$

Anybody else with similar experiences from a ZW7.2 RC3 snapshot sync'd machine?
