Phew!

Yes, I'm building, but it looks like the latest version is not compatible with the recent updates anymore, and that the SVN build works better... I'll confirm that soon.

I'll have to disagree on this (although I do understand JP's point), several packages don't provide a dep file, exactly because of this, IMHO, this should only be applied AFTER the rules are re-defined ...

although most of them are from slackware ... this has been quite worse a couple months ago.

I'm pretty sure this also adds extra work to bipbip, but I can be wrong :)

The rule could be :

Before building the final package, the new depfile must be compared to the old depfile, and manual tunings identified. Manual dependency tweaks must be added to the buildscript which generate the depfile so that they aren't lost when updates are pushed to the repository.

I found what was wrong in my build: .new files. I don't know why their names were not changed when you installed it the first time, but it was not a version problem. I'll push another build anyway because it will be built with SYSLIBS=0 and no .new.

OK, problems solved. I could handle .new files like buildpkg did, and could build Ardour so there shouldn't be any problem, now. It will be pushed soon, with many other updates.

And I confirm: Ardour doesn't need boost, lv2core and soundtouch to run! So no need to add them to the .dep file.
