Hi all.

With this (new) category - Scientific - how about if packagers create an advertisement of the packages they are maintaining? I know that at least rsamurti and gapan (and probably several others) have prepared loads of packages. An overview would be really nice and greatly appreciated.

Scientific stuff - anything with math, physics and chemistry. Does engineering software also relate to this category? (maybe not CAD and computer graphics ... but it is up to you to decide).

P.S. - Even if LaTeX is not scientific in itself, could it also go in this category? I mean, it is used widely for preparing scientific papers.

Great ideas Claus.  Please post a note about other packages and I'll add them to my summary list.

CAD and LaTex are tools that scientists use to do science, so I think they are fine here; general graphics tools are probably better discussed in the Developers forum.
