Could you please explain me with simple (2-3 words what the following services are for)

avahidaemon: Avahi mDNS/DNS-SD Daemon
I know what DNS is, but not sure what exactly that daemon does

messagebus: The DBUS system

nfsd: The Network File System daemon
I read about NFS, but still not quite sure do I need. Is the OS using it for some of it functions or if I stop it there will be no problems?

Also noticed the following 2 lines appear during boot:
sd 0:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg0 type 0
sd 1:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg1 type 5
But I don't have SCSI (nor RAID) and also I have stopped the scanluns service.

Thank you in advance for the answers.

Avahi: open-source Apple Bonjour (zeroconf) Daemon

DBUS:
Quoted from freedesktop.org:
Quote:
In addition to interprocess communication, D-Bus helps coordinate process lifecycle; it makes it simple and reliable to code a "single instance" application or daemon, and to launch applications and daemons on demand when their services are needed.

nfsd: provide NFS service to other clients.
