 Post subject: updating Netpkg? [Solved]

Having installed ZenWalk-7.0, i have been getting things the way i want them no problem but i have to admit being a little confused when i entered Netpkg. I just want to update the system. So could someone help an old newbie out with some easy to follow advice please.

Hi hardy.

There are 2 version - a CLI and a GUI version. "Zenwalk addict" is referring to the CLI version - just open a Terminal, you become ROOT by typing "su" and typing root password. Then execute the command as shown by Zenwalk addict.

In the GUI you first have to select a repository in the bar at the top. Then GUI-Netpkg will load the database from the repository and compare with what you have on your system already. You then decide what to do - hack off a selection on the right side. In the big window (left side) you can now see which packages are available, filtered according to your selection.
