KDE is in the repositories
Code:
# netpkg kdebase

He said he is using Zenwalk 4.4.1. "netpkg kdebase" will require an upgrade to 4.6.1 (otherwise this could brake your install). You would be better with a fresh 4.6.1 install, but if you want to upgrade use the wiki and only after that install KDE.

Unless something changed, there is a 'full/complete' repository of the ZenWalk-4.4.1 which can be found as 'previous'. One 'mirror' has it as:

http://download.zenwalk.org/i486/previous/

If you add that one to the /etc/netpkg.conf, you should be able to select this 'previous' as your mirror, and install kde (the 3.5.6 version, which is the 'active one for ZenWalk-4.4.1) 'as usual' from there.

Please consider that 'previous' is kept 'on suspended animation': it is not really actively developed/supported, but kept alive for cases as you mention. I do not know if this repository is mirrored very widely, so i'm not sure if you can find it at all places that carry a 'standard' mirror of zenwalk.

Thaks a lot prfaasse! I really, really needed the 4.4.1 repository back! I can confirm that http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dis ... 6/previous mirror works.

And for kde only: i am lazy to 'clean up': for better or worse, the kde builds for previous zenwalk versions can still be found in sub-directories of:

http://download.zenwalk.org/people/prfaasse/

'All ther way back' to zenwalk-2.4 . Not that i want to encourage all to much that anyone starts 'digging' into all my previous mistakes/errors w.r.t kde-building  :P  ;D
