This is a somewhat frivolous post that rather leads on from the Conky post.

One of the nice things about the .conkyrc file is that one can define the colour scheme of your choice for the application. Now I don't know about you, but my colour co-ordination skills, such as they are, don't run naturally to #nnnnnn notation infact i tend to be in the #000000 about it all  :D So trying to pick out a nicely matching set of colours is a rather hit and miss operation. However, Agave  (in the repositories under /extra/xap ) takes all the frustration out of the equation.

Practically speaking, one can copy the #nnnnnn value of the colour you like and paste it into Agave and the the program will  give you the complementary colours  (Tetrads, Triads, Monochromatic etc) along with their #nnnnnn values \!D/

These values can then be pasted back into the config file to give you a pleasantly aesethetic colour scheme for your application.

As I said, perfectly frivolous, but welcome to the wonderful world of easy colour co-ordination  :)

Regards

Michael

BTW this application is going to make setting the correct sun-light values in Terragen just sooooo simple. However, Terragen comes under the heading of Marvellous Time Consumers not Security and Monitoring so I will be virtuous and not discuss it   :)
