I've already contacted with you few months ago and sent you new/fixed translations for few applications, but I can't see them fixed in zenwalk 7.0 :-/

I sent them via e-mail. I'll try to find all *.po/*.mo files. As right now I'm sending you netpkg fixed translation.

And if you could please point me what language is needed and for which parts of Zenwalk it would be easier for me to start something new as well :-)

It would be possible, but would require to gettextize the installer and requires some time... let's follow the Slack way for the moment :)

Im doing the German translation, but Ive run into problems with some of the terms because there is no equivalent German word. For instance, there is no literal translation that Im aware of for contributors. Technically, one could put "Beisteuernde" those who contribute, but it doesnt really sound that good.

Also, what exactly do you mean by "Publisher"? This is another one of those stupid words that cant easily be translated into German. If I know the exact context in which it is going to be used I may be able to find a close approximation, though.


Do you intend to use this directly as a string table for internationalization?


Right, Ive saved my changes, but Im totally not sure if theyll be visible for anyone else. Ive never worked with this Google Document thingy before. Is there anything else I need to do?

How it works?
Is there a date base of words and expressions need translating
OR
I use my zenwalk and just report missing translations?

I ask because I prefer fluxbox, my main administration tool is vim.

I'd be glad to help! I'm from Argentina, I could help on the spanish translation.
It seems that netpkg and the control panel have some lost translations...

However, I don't know the procedure... any instruction would be great!

You just need to download the source tarball and extract the po file, then fill missing strings.
