Hey,

I installed Zenwalk yesterday and so far so good.

Had a little trouble with the nVidia drivers but all I had to do was install the correct driver for my kernel version.

Anyhow, the specs of my desktop are the following:

CPU: P4 3.0Ghz
Video: nVidia GeForce 8400GS (PCI)
Sound: Sound Blaster LS
RAM: 2GB DDR
HDD: 150GB SATA 1.5Gb/s

Later.

I don't think I've ever heard the machines referred to as that, but have heard IBM clone or PC clone. It is a clone of sorts, no doubt about that. I always consider them better built PCs than the clones you buy off the store shelves and big name brands though.
