This is running fine. Zenwalk 6.4 HD install from live CD. Qick boot time, smooth graphics, sounds come out of it good. Going to use this for recording pruposes. Loaded Ardour, Hydrgen from source, and Jamin' mxing tool. sounds good. Wifi works good (rtl8187 kernel module)

"From source"?
Anyway happy to know you use it for audio editing. :)
If you can, try to also use the RT kernel and rtirq to improve the performance.

Yeah from source, you know, a tar.gz ./configure, make, make install. Been a *nixer for years. I think I'm going to like the SlackWare style of ZenWalk.

Haven't used the RT kernel, may have heard it mentioned once or twice. What is it and what mirror do I get it from?

Thanks for the tip. I found that kernel module, and bash script in http://mirrors.evolva.ro/zenwalk/i486/current mirror. So you're a package maker for this distro? Excellent work. I'm real happy with this install. I did however switch to grub cause I'm not big Lilo guy.

Thanks. But I rely mostly on JP's configs and scripts to make this package. But I'm happy you can use it with no problem! :)
I think you'll also enjoy the RT kernel when Zen' 7.0 is out! I compared it to the BFS patched kernel, and I had far less xruns on RT. But you couldn't simply find it on Netpkg?

I suggest you use the packages, because they are made according to Zenwalk's rules. But this is your system. ;)
And I also need feedbacks for them if they don't work properly. ;D
