Hi everyone,

For those who do not want to copy fonts from WindowsXP or Windows2000 partitions, there is another quick and easy way to add international characters support to Zenwalk.

Download 'Code2000' from here:
http://home.att.net/%7Ejameskass/code2000_page.htm

after that, unzip, then copy the 'Code2000' folder to the TTF font directory. If I am not mistaken, for most Slackware-based distros, the location is this:
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF/

and then type the following command (as root):
/usr/X11R6/bin/fc-cache

after that, visit 'wikipedia.org' to see how pretty the characters in other languages can be.

This is very good however, it is a shareware....

Are you aware of another GPL alternative that we could include in Zenlive ?

That would be really cool!

The dejavu-font is already in [extra] simply do

Code:

netpkg dejavu-ttf

to install it

There is also a package for freefont:
