It seems that the "Expo" plugin in compiz-fusion 0.7.8 "exposes" too much and allow users bypassing screensaver locks.

We currently have compiz-fusion 0.7.8 in SNAPSHOT.

Fixed packages in FIFO for Current and Snapshot.

But with XScreenSaver on Snapshot I couldn't reproduce the problem, so I must trust that the patch works. Would be great if somebody with a Zenwalk Gnome installation maybe could confirm this, although it probably works.
