Just installed: wireless works fine out-of-box but unfortunately suspend doesn't :(

Is there something I can do/try in order to get suspend to work?

If I don't have an EeePC and didn't experience that on it before, I and anybody else for whom goes the same can't help you with the information you provided. We need some kind of error message, ...
What about dmesg or dmesg | tail as a starting point. :)

I'm assuming that 'suspend' is also 'standby' and if that is so I had the same problem. Please refer to my post about it.
