This is the full OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 package w/Java included, from OpenOffice.org. For anyone not wanting to use the Zenwalk GoOpenOffice included with the Install CD, this package should satisfy your needs. All components are included, but be sure to remove your presently installed ISO GoOpenOffice before installing this package. That will insure there are no leftover components of the bad GoOpenoffice remaining on your system. Settings should not change and those with my previous OpenOffice.org installed can just upgrade normally! Also at this time, this package is built with SCIM support! Thanks

This package will not appear on the mirrors, so be sure to tell others where they can still get the real OpenOffice.org package!

Hi,

could you add those lines in the files in /usr/bin so SCIM will be usable, please ?

Code:
if [ -f /usr/bin/scim ]; then
   export XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM
   export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim
   export QT_IM_MODULE=xim
fi

Ejis,
Private email me or jump over on IRC, so we can discuss this quicker. I have some questions and thoughts, so it would be easier doing a direct conversation please. Just tell me where you'll be. IRC would be best, although I can do Jabber as well (BandiPat@jabber.org).

Strange, I can't access #zenwalk... I'm on Jabber, anyway.

server is irc.freenode.net

I'm hanging out on Jabber though, so we can do that.

Ejis,
All done! I don't have scim installed, so can't test that part, but everything starts as it should and all the scripts are the newly patched ones in /usr/bin! Give me a heads up on your tests. The full package should be uploaded in a few minutes, as I just started it.

You could have changed the release number to "2", but anyway, the patch works ! :)
Speaking of the number, why not call it "3.1.1.non-iso", or something like that, just to permit a user to use the "upgradepkg" command? But it's not mandatory, I can live without it. ;D

Thanks.

Yes, I thought about changing the build number also, but didn't figure many if any other than yourself had downloaded it already. :-\

Using ZPM to upgrade does the job anyway, so I guess that's another reason I hadn't given it much thought. I wanted it to be the same name as what might be on the mirrors, so users wouldn't continually get an upgrade notice about in Zendo or xnetpkg. Also, it's possible they would overwrite it thinking the mirror build was an upgrade. I don't think it would be a good idea to have both installed. ;)

Anyway, very happy it works for you and we now have SCIM support in it! \!D/
