Hi all. Ive been a long time Zenwalk user and have always found it top notch. However Ive always avoided Gnome so I dont have a lot of knowledge about this DE. My system is multi boot and I really dont want 8 disk icons on my desktop. The windows partitions i mounted during installation arent on my desktop which is good but all other linux partitions are. I tried commenting them out in mtab and when I rebooted they were readded i removed them completely only to have them added again on boot. I hope someone can tell me hoe to take care of this. Im sure this is a minor issue I just dont know how to handle it.

Wel I figured it out so Ill post the solution for anyone else needing it. First install gconf-editor with netpkg. Then go to applications-system tools-configureation editor. Then in the conf editor go to apps-nautilus-desktop and uncheck volumes_visible. This only removes the icons from the desktop and still leaves them accessible in places tab. I hope this helps anyone else needing this solution.
