For the moment, i'll leave 'it' without the forced-update, and see if i can find any long-term 'damage'.

There is one thing that still 'delays': a 'sleep 5' when killing all processes.... I'll leave that for now, though the remark in the script indicates that this is a 'patch' for a problem that migh -by now- be long gone....
