Hello.
Please, please, please, look at EeePC related issues. :-\

They are really trivial to fix as far as I can see?

Is ok for me. (I'm still using mostly 2.6.37)

Still num lk present.
Brasero needs time to find my external cd before been able to blank.(But it find)
Every time that Zenwalk is installed my MBR is deleted.
Can be a problem for people who does not want to install lilo.
Intel is still 2.13 not 2.14 (is o.k anyway)
input-synaptics no tap and scroll
needs in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d a synaptics.conf
-------------
Section "InputClass"
Identifier "touchpad"
Driver "synaptics"
MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
MatchIsTouchpad "on"
Option "TapButton1" "1"
Option "TapButton2" "2"
Option "TapButton3" "3"
EndSection
----------------------------
I had some problems whit wicd, did not want to connect till when I did not delete the last line in pam.d/systhem.aut -but this is a very random problem.

Hello.

As far as I can see, you enabled only eeepc_wmi module. But in 2.6.35 kernel it supports only hotkeys and targets EeePC models >=1000 (I have 901, and it doesn't have WMI interface). Because of that EeePC 901 (and others too I guess, until 26.39 kernel probably) requires eeepc_laptop module.

See:
http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux%2Fkernel ... it&s=eeepc
http://acpi4asus.sourceforge.net/

Hi,

In xfce-settings, the "Help" button leads me to this page:
search.php?keywords=xfce4%20settings&terms=all&author=&fid[]=51&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search
Is that normal?

Hi,

I removed Icecat and Icedove, installed Firefox 4.0b11 and Thunderbird 3.1.7 but the Icecat and Icedove icons don't disappear from menu.
By rebootinjg, or stoping my system I can see only a blank (black) screen, not a splash.

It seems that the eeepc_laptop module is no longer part of the kernel (deprecated by eeepc_wmi), I'm going to search for a standalone module source...

Why do you think so? It is here in 2.6.36 kernel for example. Note that Slackware kernel has both these modules enabled.

Look here for the list of its dependencies:
http://lxr.linux.no/#linux+v2.6.37.1/dr ... 86/Kconfig

Is this option not visible even with fresh .config?

Yes, and thus make config remove it by default. I have forced by editing .config , and will try to build this way.

Hey Guys,

I did observe the following stuffs on XFCE 4.6.1 on Zenwalk 6.4 over my production laptop Dell Vostro 3500. Could any body kindly re-check these stuffs if reproducible on XFCE 4.8 on RC2 ISO?

1. Upon suspending the laptop and back on, the Power manager wont be running at all. Have to manually start over.
2. If Power manager has been configured to put off the display after X seconds/minutes, it does so for some number of times, but later fails to do so. Have to quite the power manager from system tray and start again.
3. If XFLOCK4 command is run (or via menu button) to lock the screen, and when screen is unlocked. The power manager no more works as its indented too. Means, it doesnt put off the display as per its configured.

Off the topic:
How to make XFLOCK4 command not only locks the screen, but put off the display as well!

P.S: Sorry i cant install 4.8 or RC2 here to test these. It would be great if any of you can let me know if these are bugs still reside or not really a bug.

It seems that I can't remove XFCE-Keyboard bindings though I am sure that it worked with RC1.
Normally I wouldn't care but if I cannot reclaim F11 to do something useful I am going to go insane soon.
