I just installed Zenwalk 7.0. I have used earlier versions successfully. Howeverl, when I tried to install my printer (HP c4680, on a wired network), it just doesn't print. The setup seemed to go uneventfully, but nothing happens. Have I failed to enable something? I can access shared files on the server with no difficulty.

Thanks for your reply, gmg. I installed the hplip package, made sure that cups was installed and enabled. Reinstalling the printer, I got the button that said "print test page," but nothing happened. I suppose there is some button I'm not pushing, but I can't figure what it is.

Now the printer is working. The Zenwalk wizard doesn't seem to work. I went to localhost:631 and found I had no printer listed, so I installed one from CUPS directly. Then I found I had no smb.conf file in /etc/samba. I uncommented a few items in the smb.conf-sample file, renamed it smb.conf and lo! The printer works.
Thanks again, gmg, for your help.
