atleast you need to rebuild lilo,zenwalk-desktop and bootsplash.

Thank you. I am a newbie to linux about less than one year. I am learning from outside of school because the costs are very expensive in Burma. Yesterday, I searched the folders of zenwalk installed computer such as etc/lilo.conf, lilo, boot/splash.bmp, and zenwalk-desktop but I did not find those files in initrd.img of installer cd. I will try to find them again. Thank you again for your reply.

they are included in the packages I mentioned above

I unpack isolinux/initrd.img and modify files in usr/lib/setup, then I pack it again and put it into iso and install. But after loading /kernel/bzImage and initrd.img, there are problem to load for zenwalk setup. I think when I pack initrd.img, may be missing files?
I unzip lilo, bootsplash and zendesktop and modify them and unpack. How to convert to txz extension?

I download lilo from source of zenwalk 5.2, and I rebuild and put into /a/ folder and install again. but after install lilo, there was a error. what is happen?
Another one is bootsplash from source of zenwalk 5.2, rebuild and substitute images then I put into /a/ folder and install but there is the original zenwalk image appear. What is happen?

I upload those 2 files (lilo and bootsplash) on my server, if you do not mind please edit and repack for me, then I have to learn zenwalk desktop for a long time also. Thank for your help, by the way I mixed setup files (inside initrd.img with slackware 12.2 and my logo so that I could changed them step by step. Your zenwalk setup is very simple to ordinary people as like as me (newbie to linux).

you have missing files in lilo package(splash.bmp,build-lilo.sh...)
bootsplash as a package seems ok,didn't test though. On current folder you still have zenwalk pictures.

I have done for lilo. It is working well for zenwalk, slackware and salix. I have to repack the bootsplash of zenwalk. Is this the compiling the kernel?
