Every so many boots the clock applets fails to load. And although I have the clock set to NTP, everytime I boot the clock is wrong. Any thoughts?

You might try this in terminal as root, < hwclock --systohc > after synchronizing with NTP.

A low cmos battery and/or poor electrical contact between battery and holder could also cause it.

actually my Zenwalk is installed in VirtualBox and my battery for the computer is fine, plus the clock's fine in 20 other guests. I can try the first suggestion. thanks.

I think I know what was wrong. If you remember I am running Zenwalk in VirtualBox and because I was having an issue with the cursor pointing to where it actually was on the screen you suggested I throw away the xorg.org file, which did fix my problem but apparently it's where VB talks to the guest's clock.

I only know this because I just updated to VB 4.10 and my mouse problem is back but the clock is right \!D/

I also figured out if I disable mouse integration in VB my mouse in Zenwalk works correctly. I am sure there's a better way but it works fine for now. ;D
