After adding Action Buttons yesterday I found myself this morning log in init 3.
After loging in X the icon (AB)was dead. No left, no right click.
I had to remove the icon using /settings/panel/Items -
and reconfigure the system to boot in X.
If you log as root the Directory menu open the user folders.
If you use Thunar it correctly open root folders.

i think why you log in to init 3 is because there was sysvinit update and you didn't run videoconfig after that. About AB i don't know.

yes I confirm. I did not run videoconfig.
I did after.
Why the icon was dead I don't know.
