I successfully configured an IP address and netmask an all other stuff the first time I ran networkconfig. Later I was curious about some other configurations and started trying different combinations (I was trying to set a DNS server).

After openning and closing networkconfig, changing eth0 configurations every time, the program came up with no configuration for eth0 ???, but it gets worse, it won't take any config I put in >:(!!. I write an IP address and hit OK going back to the main eth0 screen and the IP address field is empty. The same with netmask and everything else.

I can configure eth0  using ifconfig though, but how could I 'reset' networkconfig without a reinstall of the whole OS??

PS: I already tried a reboot.

Try editing /etc/rcd/rc.inet1.conf by hand. Or try turning dhcp on and off again. This sometimes helps to "reset" the options.

jpf

P.S. Don't reinstall - the problem should be fixed without that much effort.
