is there any software i can use to detect my webcam? I got this USB one and when I installed camorama, it only showed me the tv-capture card that I have.. i cant switch it somehow to my webcam..

You have to install the drivers for your webcam before using it, unless they are included in the linux kernel. Search google for drivers.
