Which tools are you using when writing/editing documents?

I have been using editors like Bluefish, Geany, Vim and OOwriter, but with some filetypes its hard to get an easy overview of things. Like editing an xml file in Bluefish.

Real documents, I use OOwriter 

Google Apps may be becoming more popular as a MS Office alternative.

I write the manual (xml) with bluefish.
I use Abiword for very, very little jobs.
For all important and complex documents, I use geany and LateX (TexLive is installed).

i have been using bluefish for xml files too but the all the xml code makes things look blurry

OT: xml looks ugly to me.

I like Google apps. Clean and simple
