is there an alternative to wifi-radar that fits well with zenwalk?  I have a hell of a time getting it to connect to my wireless network.  I usually use iwconfig because it seems to connect easier.  but I also want to be able to see other wireless networks and be able to connect to them.  like if i'm at an airport and such.

Hi bubs

We have worked on this question before without getting anywhere. I can recommend you to use the commands 'iwlist {INTERFACE} scan' to check for wireless networks and use ifconfig and iwconfig to set them up.

The basic problem is the following: different drivers offer different features and different ways to access them. In the next kernel 2.6.22 there will be a new wireless stack which will ease up the development of wireless configurations programs supporting multiple drivers.
