As far as I know none of us have ever done this before but we are keen, and we hope to pay the developers back for their great system with some well-proofed docs!

I'm now on that mailing list. Is this - http://manual.zenwalk.org/manual_en.pdf - the latest version of manual that You want to be translated ? If it's possible I'd like to have *.doc/*.odt format. I can have done both of these translations within two weeks, three tops.

Just a note: I can help with other things as well as proofreading but school will be starting soon, which will severely limit my free time, and I do not have experience with code or scripts or anything like that (but this is the doc team, not the dev team).

the new version is still under construction. and you really don't have to know anything about codings and stuff. one of the objectives i had was to set up a system that anyone can participate. At the moment, we are using a software called wixi to facilitate the process. the only problem i have now is that my work will be really busy in September and I really have to do a lot of things before it starts.

School's starting for me, too, but at the moment I'm sorting out my schedule. I plan to have time for computer stuff so I'm still available for proofreading. The problem is fitting in all that study...

hi both of you... unfortunately, I do not think i will be able to prepare the draft version before September. I had a chance to talk to a newbie on Thursday in a pub, and she gave me some ideas. so i would like to implement that in the new version. Also it would be helpful if you, or others, could help me on some sections of the manual.

I have been working on the translation already done to my language, Kannada (kn), By reviewing the current translation I found it would be better translated. Presently I took all the .mo files from my locale of kn and working on them. Is that all what is necessary to be worked on? Please keep me posted if I got to do anything more for translating zenwalk to kn.
