I rebuilt KDE using aRts this time.  I also updated a couple packages.  The only big package I haven't updated for aRts is KOffice (doubt anyoen would care for sound in office app).

New package here -->  http://www.unclesteve.org/files/zenwalk ... al/stable/

Old package here -->  http://www.frinkadelic.com/files/zenwal ... ial/stable only maintaining the new packages above now

flash:  flashplayer 0.7.63.0 player (installs to /usr/lib/mozilla with symlinks also in /usr/lib/opera)

amarok-1.4.0:  built without arts or gstreamer, only alsa backend, deps inc libtunepimp, lubmusicbrainz, taglib, (sqlite - optional db for your music collection)

gamin-0.1.7: used in with my kdelibs, but should be good someone looking for one to play with

k3b-0.12.15: uses most the deps you'll find available with ZW and netpkg

kaffeine-0.8.1:  uses xine backend

kaffeine-mozilla-plugins:  point your plugins directory to /usr/plugins  (this is it's default, I might try to force it to another subdir via script down the road)

Koffice-1.5.1:  Think it only lacked postgres support now

konversation-0.19:  I like this more than default ksirc, similar to xchat

kopete-0.12.0  ms chat, aim, y chat, jabber, etc

ktorrent-1.2:  nothing special BT client (2.0 beta also available in testing packages)

opera 9.0:  Latest stable version, shared and static version (also 8.54 if you like being a step behind)

win32codecs:  you know what these are :P

xinelib -1.1.1:  used for all my media packages

sqlite-3.3.5:  I use this for amaroK, but listing in case someone else is looking for a db

twinkle-0.7.1  nice little SIP phone (VOIP)

guarddog-2.4.0:  QT gui for iptables (only in old file repo for now)

KDE 3.5.3 with arts libs, base, addons, artwork, graphics, mutimedia, pim, utils, and games --- These are just ones I use for now, I might compile others in the future if needed.  The deps I use are all available as well.

In the spirit of the package recently built for GTK, I looked up and found a qt front end for iptables.

Working on updating my scripts.  I rebuilt the Opera packages, with a little better naming change.   Also, Borromini, did I understand and get the icons in the new right place this time?

Opera 8.54 Shared
Opera 8.54 Shared md5sum

Opera 8.54 Static
Opera 8.54 Static md5sum

I wrote flash player into a script this time around instead of just a hand built package.  This time I put the flash files into /usr/lib/mozilla (which most if not all browsers look for) and added symlinks in /usr/lib/opera.

Flash Player 7.0.63.0
Flash Player 7.0.63.0 md5sum

I've got a question, Uncle Steve....what is the difference between flash player and flash4opera? Is it that in the latter you don't have a simlink, but it's installed directly to opera folder?

Both accomplish the same, except where the actual files and symlinks are installed.  The main thing is the new package has a reusable script and is a more proper package, the flash4opera was a quick handmade job.

As I continue to rebuild my packages with fresh scripts and probably a new iso build, I'll take the original packages down.  To save some confusion I'll take down the flash4opera package now.

Thanks for clearing things up a little. Yet, I have a different problem...
When I try to install your latest Opera Static 8.54 (http://www.unclesteve.org/files/zenwalk ... 6-1SMC.tgz)
I get the following:
Code:
root[mindflayer]# installpkg /home/mindflayer/Desktop/opera-8.54.200603003.1_static-i386-1SMC.tgz
Installing package opera-8.54.200603003.1_static-i386-1SMC...
PACKAGE DESCRIPTION:
opera: opera-8.54-20060330.1-static-qt.i386-en
opera:
opera: The most full-featured Internet power tool on the market,
opera: Opera includes pop-up blocking, tabbed browsing, integrated
opera: searches, an e-mailclient, RSS Newsfeeds and IRC chat.
opera:
opera: This version does NOT require qt
opera:
opera: Requirements: lesstif
opera:
opera: Packaged by Uncle Steve for Zenwalk 2.4
Unable to install /home/mindflayer/Desktop/opera-8.54.200603003.1_static-i386-1SMC.tgz: tar archive is corrupt (tar returned error code 2)

I have lesstif already installed, but it obcviously doesn't seem to have anything to do with it. I'm running stable 2.4 (clean install yesterday) +only few extra packages. Re-downloading Opera package doesn't help. Could you check it out, please?  :)

Looks like you got a bad download.  You can md5sum it to check, the md5 is there also.  I double checked msyelf by downloading and installing this package and it worked fine here.

Delete your opera package and reinstall, and verify md5sum as needed.

Verifying download integrity when you install a package = first thing to do!

You're absolutely right. Sorry....  :-[
I'm just wondering, how could I get a few downloads in a row corrupted until I finally got a proper one...
