During system boot I get this message logged in syslog "zenwalk kernel: tdfxfb: Can't reserve smem"! I'm using Zenwalk 2.4 with kernel 2.6.16.1 and my video card is a Voodoo 5500. DRI works fine in X. I've tried with append = "video=tdfxfb:1280x1024-32@75" in lilo.conf according to a post in Debian forum but no luck yet :-(.Does anyone have any idea?

To Borromini: nothing actually, that I'm ware about. "tdfxfb" gets loaded as a module but is not used by any process according to lsmod. I'm just wondering is there anything that I can do as a configuration to use the framebuffer module for my card when it's getting loaded anyway? As I mentioned earlier, I tried to append tdfxfb in lilo.conf but still the same output by lsmod. Any idea? Thanks in advance.

Maybe you have also to configure the X server. Did you try with videoconfig? Is your video card detected automatically?
