Re: Zenwalk 8.0 is on the road !

Thanks Wang, I've found Evince, I was just wondering why it wasn't part of the ISO, thinking it was an essential program. What I can't find on the mirrors are the dictionaries, like hunspell-nl. It's not a problem as I still have the ones from a previous install, or could download them from somewher...

Re: Zenwalk 8.0 is on the road !

Thanks for your reply. I have the slackware64 current mirror activated, but only see the general Hunspell package, not the dictionaries. Only found Calligra and KDE under localization. But I'm fine with my old dictionaries, just was wondering why/where they had disappeared from the mirror, or why I ...

Re: Zenwalk 8.0 is on the road !

Thanks for the new Zenwalk, I did a fresh install last week and everything looks good. The only thing I can't seem to find on xnetpkg are the Hunspell/Myspell dictionaries. I use them for Libre Office, Firefox and Kompozer. Luckily I had them still on the precious Zenwalk install. And I was surprise...

Re: Zenwalk 7.9.3 is ready

Don't exactly know where to post this, but last week I installed Zenwalk 7.9.5, updated it and everything seems to be working except the installation of my HP-printer. I think it has something to do with permissions? It finally installed using the commandline but then it kept throwing up errors and ...

Re: Zenwalk 7.9.3 is ready

Funny about the gtk-3.0 folder, I wonder why it is owned by root. On my notebook it is, on the testing machine it is, on my desktop it isn't. But perhaps I changed that in the past, can't remember....
But things are working now, I rather like the new 'intelligent' panel.

I' ve got the same one, this is on the latest Zenwalk version with the new XFCE packages
On my notebook I noticed the same thing, the gtk3 folder in .config is owned by root, and here I haven't updated XFCE.

Re: Zenwalk 7.9.3 is ready

I found that I can't create a shortcut to the side pane, both using the right click or using drag and drop. I mean everything looks normal but as soon I reopen Thunar the shortcuts there are not more there. Same here, even after updating thunar-archive-plugin. In my xsession-errors I found: (Thunar...

Re: Zenwalk 7.9.3 is ready

I have a new problem :( with Xnetpkg-5.4-x86_64-3jp, when I upgrade a package, I get the message "Failed to install" although it has been upgraded, when I install something new, there's no message at all about it being installed, although it is.

Yes, is working now. :)
Just one more tiny small thing, netpkg has a dependency in red: perl-XML-Twigs, which should be perl-XML-Twig I suppose.

Is refreshing different from reloading, because that doesn't help.

Re: Zenwalk 7.9.3 is ready

I've upgraded netpkg to version 5.4, and now with xnetpkg I can only select a package by right-clicking and using the pop-up menu, the 'select' column is not responsive to clicking. Also the package discriptions are no longer showing.

Re: Zenwalk 7.9.3 is ready

That would be nice, I kept forgetting to mention this, but as the topic came up I remembered!
I started using Zenwalk years ago as an almost newbie and loved it because it was easy, not to many daunting options and endless list of software I.
Thanks for the work you but into this!
