Hi JP,

thx for the new image.

What are the differences to the state of RC2 with a netpkg upgrade to snapshot repository? Some packages completely removed or new added?

Reinstalling the whole system at every week is not nice for a productive system. Nevertheless, I appreciate the up-to-dateness and easyness (especially the installer) of Zenwalk.

to reliably test the RC3, a full install is the only way :)

It isn't better to modify the name of 6.2 to 6.2 RC3 in the repos?

While booting in flash there isn't the option to choose "F2" to see the boot in text... (Sorry for my english and this is not problem for me, but perhaps for beginners can be it.)

If I'm not wrong, in beta, or RC1 I make /boot (with ext3) /root (with ext4) and /home (with etx4), only with /root (ext4) it wasn't possible to boot my system.

With RC I made only /root (ext4) and /home (ext4) and bootes without any problems... \!D/

Grub2 provides a failsafe verbose boot. F2 is till available, but not written on the splash screen :)

Plz delay the RC JP... Allow some times to find bugs and fix it for the next RC.

Ok ok,

From pre-mounted directory :

Install successful , no grub problem, all packages installed :p (kernel included :p)
Others locale problems fixed.

Hoping that will be fixed tomorrow :

Same keymap problem as in RC2 : "grep : /etc/rc.d/rc.keymap not found"

Please accept my request of include nano as console text editor, edit grub.cfg during install with vim when you don't know how use vim is pretty hard... 576Ko in an ISO of 492Mo , we can do it, we still have the space.

On an IBM ThinkPad X40:

Installed from a usb stick. No problems installing and no problems thus far on the system.

On my previous install of the beta, I had a suspend/resume issue that I was partially able to resolve and a total absence of sound, which I never did figure out. No problems now on RC3 on either count.

Specific to my machine: Function keys are all working as expected, wireless is perfect, all ports appear to be detected and working properly (haven't checked the SD or PCMCIA slots yet), and screen resolution is correct.

So... so far so good.

I can confirm "grep : /etc/rc.d/rc.keymap not found" message on my installation.
I can't confirm feng's screenshot issue-- it does work for me.

Forgot to add:

45 second boot time from grub to login... very nice, especially since this is a 1.2GHz Pentium M. :)
